Start with a Creator user type – Required

Creators can administer. Every subscription requires at least one administrator to activate the subscription as well as manage members and content. If you want to administer and use ArcGIS Pro, you can purchase the ArcGIS Professional user type instead.

Description

Often, people with job titles like GIS specialist, asset manager, or data journalist purchase the Creator user type. (Existing users: please note that the Creator user type is the same as the former Level 2).

The Viewer user type is for those in the subscription who need to view maps and apps created by others. Viewers access the organization's private information to make informed decisions and monitor performance. Viewers typically have job titles such as executive officer, manager, or sales manager. (Existing users: please note that the Viewer user type is the same as the former Level 1).

Field Workers connect the field to the office using apps such as ArcGIS Collector, ArcGIS Survey123, and ArcGIS Workforce for real-time data collection, tasking, and operations. Typical job titles of those with a Field Worker user type include maintenance foreman, field technician, and volunteer.
